Dr. Gustavo Galante is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Ohio Valley Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

 Dr. Galante elected to pursue a career in medicine because he felt that this field combined his love for science and his affinity for the humanities. Raised in Northwest Indiana, Dr. Galante graduated from Wabash College summa cum laude where he obtained a liberal arts education. He received his medical education from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, recognizing his academic distinction.  After serving his general and plastic surgery residencies at the Loyola University Medical Center, Dr. Galante completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery at the Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Galante has been asked to speak to a number of lay and medical audiences on a variety of topics in plastic surgery. He is an active and involved member of his community, donating his time to local community projects and charitable organizations.
